User's notes

This moss has strong similarities to the moss at sighting 4649572, but is yellower. Perhaps these are older specimens? Again as with all my ‘shade cloth canopy’ * moss sightings, I know little about mosses so there is high risk that I’m conflating species whether within or across sightings. The other sightings relevant to that comment are: 4649587, 4649598, 4649599 (this one), 4649605, 4649608, 4649625. 4649636, 4649639 & 4649653. * The shade cloth canopy itself collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside, rooting deep into the leaf litter, whilst the lichens and to some extent, mosses are mostly on the more exposed areas, where there is less/no leaf litter.
