Known to me as carpet grass, this lends itself to creating lawns, and I know seed can be purchased at rural stores. It is a runner grass which produces roots at every node much like a couch, only it has a broader and longer leaf. I saw it on this property when I first visited 40 years ago, so it may well have been planted. If in fact it is a native, I don’t know whether it naturally occurs in this area or not.
