User's notes

Yet another chunky orb weaver; (refer sightings 4654480, 4654481, 4654484, & 4654489 for some others from the same locality). This one has a combination of 4 symmetrical recessed cream spots on its upper abdomen, along with fine white mottling on a dark chocolate furry skin. Each of the hairy legs has black-brown and white colours alternating (photo 1). The under side (photo 2) has a symmetrical mottling of dark brown and creamy yellow. The fangs are large (as is the spider!) (photos 3 & 5). And the white hairs over its dark head and top front of abdomen are a startling contrast in close-up (photo 4) Having just checked back through my own records, this is probably the same individual spider as the one pictured at Sighting 4645838
