User's notes

This young fig germinated in leaf litter trapped by an old shade cloth canopy which has become host to all manner of life forms. * In 3 months, it has at least tripled in size (photo 4), since photos 1, 2 & 3 were taken in early January. Time this whole thing got attached to a tree somewhere! * The shade cloth canopy itself collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside, rooting deep into the leaf litter. Mosses and Lichens are also prolific here.
