User's notes

Non-aggressive (at least to humans!), moderately-large, black ants, bearing distinctive iridescent yellow abdomens with varying sizes of black lateral stripes. They have fairly straight antennae. The ants in these pictures were nesting in a hollow log which had just been disturbed. Photo 5 is for context. This may be a different Sp to the similar-looking ant at sighting 4664557.
