Apart from blue banded bees these tiny black native bees are the most frequently seen bees in this area (Copmanhurst, NSW North Coast). They take advantage of a wide variety of plant flowers, even some grasses. These ones are on pink rain lilies (exotics). I cannot discern much detail except for a yellow spot on the back of the head / ‘neck’. Beyond that they have short chunky clearly segmented bodies, the wings are clear & slightly longer than their bodies, and the pollen baskets are full! I believe this to be the Sp. as at sighting 4664737 & 4664742.
