User's notes

A predominantly grey and black fly with some pink-fawn body markings, and widely separated red-brown eyes. The very shortest of antennae were detected (photo 2)! The wings are transparent except for some, seemingly random, black bands and marks which nonetheless appear symmetrical across the 2 wings. Black and relatively thick legs for a moderately small fly, especially the forelegs (photo 5).
