User's notes

Not sure if this is a large grasshopper or a Spur-throated locust. A possible throat spur is discernible at photo 1. Overall the colouring is a tan, with fine & intricate yellow lacing over the upper thorax, and upper abdomen. A fine yellow line marks the edge of the dorsal thorax ‘plate’ (photo 3). Black antennae and 2 large dark patches on the upper surface of the upper rear legs, plus dark markings around the side of the joint between the upper rear leg and the next lower leg section. There appears to be a series of parallel, short & yellow diagonal stripes on the sides of the upper rear legs. The eyes are grey.
