It's great to have our first sea turtle sighting for the region on NatureMapr. However, it's hard to identify the species from the photo provided. It looks like a Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) but it could also be a Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), as both species have been recorded at Evans Head. It's most certainly a marine turtle (superfamily Chelonioidea).
