Sceliphron laetum (Common mud dauber wasp)

A key to identifying Sceliphron species can be found at:

A quick way to distinguish the two local species of Sceliphron is to look at the colour of the hind legs: in S. laetum the femur and tibia (the two longest segments) each have the base yellow and the apical (end) half black, while in S. formosum these parts are reddish-orange.
